Granular Flow

Granular Flows refers to  energetic flows of particles and fluids in which grain-to-grain interactions dominate the transfer of momentum and energy.  Examples are widespread in nature and industry, such as avalanches, bedload sediment transport, and the industrial transport and handling of granular materials such as soy beans or crushed coal.
